Registered Social Worker (MSW)
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Social Worker (MSW) to join our multidisciplinary team as a subcontractor. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, evidence-based counselling and social work services to individuals, couples, and families. This role is perfect for someone passionate about working collaboratively to address a wide range of client needs while contributing to the growth and success of the clinic.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual, couple, and family counselling using evidence-based approaches.
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Support clients with issues such as trauma, mental health challenges, relationship difficulties, and life transitions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure holistic client care.
- Provide case management and advocacy support when needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with professional and ethical standards.
- Stay updated on best practices and advancements in social work and counselling methodologies.
- Offer referrals and coordinate with community resources as necessary.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- Registered and in good standing with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience providing counselling or therapeutic services (preferred).
- Proficiency in evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, ACT, or solution-focused therapy.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to ethical and professional standards of practice.
Skills
- Training in trauma-informed care, couples therapy, or family therapy.
- Experience supporting neurodivergent individuals (e.g., Autism, ADHD).
- Familiarity with the unique needs of BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities.
- Knowledge of community resources and advocacy work.
- Self-motivated, independent, responsible and has impeccable time-management skills.
- Available to respond to emails and communications in a VERY timely manner.
