Registered Provisional Psychologist

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Provisional Psychologist to join our team as a subcontractor. The ideal candidate will provide evidence-based therapeutic services to a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, adults, and families. The delivery of these services currently occurs virtually and in-person in Calgary. The Psychologist will also engage in research and data collection to enhance patient outcomes and contribute to the overall knowledge base of our practice. This role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our clinic while making a meaningful impact in clients’ lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychological assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to clients’ needs.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive client care.
  • Participate in case consultations and team meetings.
  • Stay informed about advancements in psychological research and integrate new methodologies into practice.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Registered as provisional and in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).
  • Experience in providing therapy to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and families.
  • Have a supervisor and a supervision plan.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Strong ethical standards and commitment to client confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Skills

  • Experience in trauma counselling, concurrent disorder counselling, or neurodivergent support.
  • Training in specialized therapeutic approaches relevant to our services.
  • Interest in contributing to program development and community outreach.
  • Self – motivated independent, responsible and has impeccable time management skills.
  • Available to respond to emails and communications in a VERY timely manner.
