Join Our Team as a Specialist Psychologist - Assessment
We are seeking a skilled Registered Psychologist with specialized training in psychological assessments to join our dynamic team as a subcontractor. The ideal candidate will have expertise in conducting a variety of assessments, including cognitive, behavioral, psychoeducational, and diagnostic assessments, for individuals across the lifespan. This role focuses on providing in-depth evaluations to assist clients in understanding their unique challenges and strengths.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments.
- Psychoeducational assessments (e.g., learning disabilities, ADHD).
- Autism spectrum and developmental assessments.
- Cognitive and behavioral assessments.
- Diagnostic evaluations for mental health conditions.
- Interpret assessment results and provide clear, written reports with actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with clients, families, schools, and other professionals to ensure effective implementation of assessment findings.
- Participate in feedback sessions to discuss results and recommendations with clients.
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with ethical and professional standards.
- Stay updated on best practices and advancements in psychological assessments.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).
- Demonstrated expertise in administering, scoring, and interpreting a range of psychological assessment tools.
- Strong report-writing skills with the ability to provide clear and actionable recommendations.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
Skills
- Experience with autism and developmental assessments, including ADOS-2.
- Training in neuropsychological assessment or other specialized areas.
- Familiarity with school and workplace accommodations processes.
- Ability to provide both assessment and therapeutic services (optional).
- Self-motivated, independent, responsible and has impeccable time-management skills.
- Available to respond to emails and communications in a VERY timely manner.
